Antimicrobial Stewardship Laboratory
Our research focus is to understand the distribution and risk of antimicrobial resistance in livestock agriculture and develop health management strategies that reduce antimicrobial resistance while maintaining the health and welfare of the herds and flocks. Specific areas of research interest include surveillance for antimicrobial resistance, use of alternatives to antibiotics, vaccines, rapid diagnostics tests, and improved management practices for disease prevention.
