The Cardboard Cow appeared at the Fresno Fairgrounds 23 March, 2012, brought by Jennifer Crook and Grant Jones-Wiebe. CC was accompanied by stethoscopes, clean cow bones, and models of animals with visible, anatomically correct internal structures.
Once again the Cardboard Cow appears to help children learn about veterinary science. She was presented to over 400 children. Each child was able to palpate CC, hear their own heartbeat through a stethoscope, and touch real cow bones . . . clean cow bones. Grant Jones-Wiebe communicated to the students, some of the many careers that exist in agriculture today.
6 March 2012, Tuesday, Teacher Matt Wenstrand brought his Caruthers High School, Veterinary Science Class to visit us. The students peppered our vets, Dr. Aly and Dr. Moeller, and our lab presenters, Jen Crook and Kris Maloy, with questions. Thank you for coming and keep up your studies.
